This was the first idea they threw at me, though it was supposed to have a Ninja fight in the background. I thought that was dumb, so I decided to through hot chicks in there instead. Hot chicks ALWAYS work. Always. :-) It seemed a bit sedate for a first issue cover so I decided to go in another direction and the result was the cover sketch in the main gallery. While tighter than a normal cover prelim it's still not meant to be a finished drawing, but just an indication of what the concept would be.

Yeah, the hot chicks work pretty well, but it's all that :beer: I'm eyeballing! Man, it's hot again tonight here! LOL! Now this is what I call a get together! Just arm wrestle your pal with a :beer: in the other hand and hot chicks bouncing around cheering you on. *Sigh* I really miss college. :D Excellent work on this one!

hm lets take this and anaylze it a bit;

first of all there is no way good old knuckle head and herc would be on a tie status, since Herc is a Demi-God and has enough muscle power to topple tanks with his pinky :D although he may not be able to break wolvies hand/wrist (courtesy of the Adamantium :P ) as he applies enough force to bring his opponent down on the table, he will certainly bring his hand on the table, but he sure wouldnt be locked in straining position, so that the building accumulated power would overwhelm the breaking point of the wooden table :D yadayadayadablablabla

and second "HEY you prick!" ( thats me :D ) "Physics dont apply here, its make belief world thats comics" :D so please, disregard my nerdy first paragraph and accept my sincere kudos :D

loved the expressions on the chicks' faces and the bar arm wrestle theme. the choice for the ladies replacing the fighting ninjas was a wise one.

great loved it :D

would definitely love to see this one colored, of course, by non other than the master :D

This may not have had the punch of a first issue cover that you wanted but if Marvel put this out as a poster I'd buy it just for the :lol: factor.

Well, the in joke was Wolverine trying to take him down unsuccessfully with even two hands. Herc's not really trying.......:-) Originally I wanted him to be swigging a beer at the same time but wasn't sure I could get away with it on the cover. Oh, and "HEY you prick!" It's a comic book cover! :-)
