Great angle/perspective! The composition has such a dynamic look here --- "There he goes. One of God’s own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live and too rare to die.”- Raoul Duke (“Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas”, 1998)
Wow man!! I'm amazed by your anatomy control, you are a master!! Your level at drawing human figure is only reached by a very few people. I'm planning to publish a illustration book of Esteban Maroto, he's one of the big boys from the old school. Regards
I tried posting this last night from my phone, but the bloody thing wouldn't cooperate. Anyway, Joe, I just have to say when I think of the enduring talents in the field of fantasy illustration, I always classify your work as being legendary along with Buscema, Vallejo and Frazetta to name a few. And examples such as this show that to be a well-deserved classification. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
as it's Sunday, I'll indulge myself another look at this stunning Martian vision.
No-one in the Star Wars comics ever took the next natural step in Huttese fashion concerning Leia's metallic bikini from ROTJ, ie. to make it as minimal as possible. If they did it'd be a 15 certificate, but all us (..pervs) from the 'Leia in a gold bikini appreciation society' hail you for making some artistic headway in this matter.
