Progress shot. Coming together. While it's hard to tell in these digital shots all the values in the background don't go any darker that a Raw Umber. This will help push her forward when I use the darker values and black on the main figure.

Is see Christopher [blank] from the House of Hammer Dracula and is that Dr. Who down there?

What's the story on these...

The Lee Dracula was intentional. If you read my descriptions you'll know why. The Dr who is a boo boo on my part. I used ref that I wasn't familiar with not being a fan of the show. Need to alter the face a bit. %%$#@

Question: Is there any special reason for leaving the main character for last? Or is it just a personal option?

1) Since I tend to work the figure up in thin layers of color it's best to leave her for last.

2)It's easier to light the figure to the background than the other way around.

This is how I work, mind you. What works for me. It's not law.

Thanks. Seeing the whole process of creation of such a complicated illustration is being really interesting. Looking forward to the final product.

Brilliant handling of the sunglasses and the hair on the right. Was the green building in the background supposed to be an abstract of a woman's shape, or did it just happen like that?

This is gonna look great framed and hung on my wall!

Can't wait to order it!
