Unretouched version of the "Blackest Night" cover. The purply blue works better with the green but they wanted the rings actually BLACK (with glowing icons)which unfortunately wasn't made quite clear at the beginning. Big thanks to Dave Johnson for his timely help since correcting this traitionally would have been a real ball buster.

That's what I am really not looking for in the "professional" field. People who don't what looks best making visual decisions for people who do. I really feel like artist's aren't really valued beyond their capacity for being whored out to make pretty.

It's nice to see you on some DC stuff. I understand the color change, especially with the various color Lantern Corps around but this color scheme really works well. I hope you get a lot more cover work from them.

I agree, this version is more eye catching. The green and the orange really make the rings pop.
