Cover for the 5th issue of the Dynamite Entertainment series.

Ever since I first saw her in the amazing David Le Beck's gallery [link]
I have wanted to capture the mesmerizing Betcee May [link]
in one of my pieces. I had spoken to David about permission to do so (initially as Vampirella, but eventually as the alluring Dejah Thoris) and he was kind enough to enthusiastically agree.

There is something so exotic and otherworldly about Betcee May, especially her eyes that David captures in every photo. Inspired by his photos I could make a career out of just painting her.

It was an honor to work with both of these remarkable talents and I hope to do so again in the future.

From what I've been told they are both happy with the results and that is the best compliment I could ever receive.

I love this picture and The recent Movie, John Carter of Mars, was so great I had to return to catch more of the incredible production.
Lynn Collins is fabulous as Dejah. I have not be so stoked about a movie in a long time.
